WARRANTY SERVICE – QUALITY, PROBLEM-FREE, FAST, CORRECT AND BEST PRICE!

We at Turbo-Expert strive to offer the highest quality and professional services to each client. In order for the warranty to be valid, all warranty conditions specified by us must be met after the turbocharger repair has been performed. Each client is obliged to read and become familiar with the warranty conditions in detail and, upon agreement to work together, automatically accepts them. The warranty conditions are publicly available on our website and are additionally transmitted in printed form to each client using our services.

Turbo-Expert recommends that the disassembly and assembly be carried out directly with us in one of the most modern turbo service centers in the Balkans or in a service that we can assist and guide you to perform a quality repair, thus ensuring a complete finish!

1. WARRANTY PERIOD

The warranty period for a turbocharger recycled by us is 12 months, and for a new turbocharger it is 24 months, unless another term and conditions are mentioned in a separate agreement with the customer. The period starts from the date of sale or receipt of the turbocharger and spare components (receipt by the customer or the service), and not from the date of its installation or operation.

2. OBJECT OF WARRANTY

The warranty provided by Turbo-Expert applies to major or complete overhauled turbines and the components included in them. This means that the entire middle body has been replaced, as well as everything that we have found as defects and removed and has been replaced because it is directly like (compressor wheel, turbine wheel, variable geometry or actuator). In case of partial repairs, such as replacing a blade, bearing, seal or only an actuator, or in short - patching (at the customer's request) and NOT a complete overhaul of the turbocharger, the warranty for the turbo is not covered (because almost all the parts have worked, already worn out and started to deform and are not new and reliable components).

That is, if we have replaced the working body (middle body) and no other defects have been found, which means that everything else is healthy or we have replaced all components that were defective, the warranty applies. However, if only partial components are replaced, such as a new actuator, to "fix" the turbo (because the customer decided that it was better that way) to work a little longer, we do not assume the warranty. Also, if we replace the middle body, but at the customer's request the remaining damaged parts are not replaced, the warranty is void.

For turbochargers with an electronic actuator, the warranty covers the actuator ONLY if it has been replaced or repaired and adjusted (trained) by us. That is, in the case that we have replaced all the defective parts in one turbo and have used only the old snails and the old electronic actuator and after a certain time this actuator refuses to work, the warranty does not cover it. In many cases, the electronic actuator as a separate component cannot be checked 100% because the turbocharger, if it has a blocked or unadjusted geometry due to unprofessional revision, can lead to incorrect operation of the actuator even if it is perfect or it can burn out "at once" due to overload in one of the two extreme positions. The old (original) electronic actuator is not subject to warranty, even if it has been thoroughly checked and tested by us, the repaired mechanics are subject to warranty because they have been brought to the condition of a brand new component. This is important to know so that there are no cases in which a warranty is sought for an old electronic part (in some cases already over 15 years old), just because we have checked or tested it and have not found any visible problems in it.

3. WHAT DOES THE WARRANTY COVER?

The warranty only covers the turbocharger. In the event of a possible failure of a turbocharger recycled or new purchased from us, we are NOT responsible for accompanying damage such as defective vacuum paths, problematic crankcase ventilation valves, defective control valves such as N75 or cracked hoses, etc. which should have been checked during the repair work because they are part of the intake or turbo system and are directly related to the control of the turbocharger and this leads to complications even for a perfectly repaired or brand new turbocharger, and the subsequent costs, as a result of the failure of these components, are at the expense of the customer or the service performed an unqualified service, that is, installation without the necessary knowledge and equipment to perform these checks and is not familiar enough with how the engine, intake system, exhaust system, sensors, etc. functions and did not read our instructions for necessary checks that can prevent more serious repairs. And subsequent engine damage as a result of hydraulic shock, peripheral damage, roadside assistance costs, installation/dismantling and transport costs, lost profits as a result of a malfunctioning vehicle and everything else as a result of previously unprofessionally performed services are not subject to warranty claims, but only the turbocharger itself.

4. CASES IN WHICH THE WARRANTY IS VOID:

  • Poor or incorrect installation/dismantling. In the event that incorrect installation of the turbocharger, recycled or new purchased from us, is established, as a result of which, provable with inspections and Laboratory machines that we have for testing the components, unlike other services that can test Only the middle part or the axis, we can also vacuum the compressor wheels and the working body itself, etc. and also check under a microscope for foreign bodies in the oil system supplying the turbocharger and after all the inspections, if we come to the conclusion that the cause of damage to the turbo is not caused by a defective part but by external influences and poor-quality repair work, the warranty is void. Turbo-Expert recommends carrying out the installation work directly with us or a service where we can be sure that the process has been followed. Installation errors do NOT lead to the voiding of the warranty.

  • Foreign/foreign body ingress. If during operation, a foreign body passes through one of the blades, the turbo is damaged immediately, which leads to imbalance and possible more serious consequences such as a broken axis. The most common cause of a foreign body is negligence when replacing the turbocharger and pieces and debris from the old turbo getting into it, which pass through the new turbo, as well as when replacing an air filter, a blown air box with a suction hose on the turbo and a body getting into this hose and its future suction by the turbocharger. Also, when a piece of segment or a piston flake is spit out, it is possible to end up with damage caused by the passage of a foreign body. There is a tendency for more and more cars to install sheet metal exhaust manifolds. Such manifolds crack over time and begin to crumble, releasing small pieces to the turbo, which break it. Damage caused by a foreign body getting into it is easily diagnosed by removing and opening the turbo.
  • Lack of lubrication. The warranty is voided if the turbo is improperly/insufficiently lubricated. Lack or insufficient lubrication is caused by many problems. Bad oil, insufficient oil, not changing the oil, clogged oil lines, nano strainers, bad oil filter, fine abrasives in the oil, poor quality additives in the oil, clogged crankcase ventilation filter, clogged oil drain, oil pump failure, use of silicone instead of gaskets, clogged oil strainer (if present), etc.

  • Intervention by an external party. Turbo-Expert always provides you with a turbocharger ready for direct installation. If an unauthorized person manipulates the turbo, opens it, “adjusts” it, manipulates the actuator for any purpose, the warranty is void. You receive the turbocharger marked by us in order to identify any external unauthorized intervention.

  • Damaged electro-pneumatic valve (N75). Most turbochargers on the market are controlled pneumatically via vacuum hoses and an electro-pneumatic valve. In other words, this valve controls the turbo how to work. A damaged valve or incorrectly connected hoses lead to damage to the turbo. If a faulty electro-pneumatic valve is found to be the cause of the damage, the warranty is void because, for example, with a permanently closed and non-unloading geometry, the turbocharger reaches overspeeds that are critical for it and fails, with proper repair work and adequate diagnostics, it can be identified as a problem immediately.

  • Damage to the turbo paths and intercooler. If you have cracked air ducts or a cracked air cooler (intercooler), you will end up with an out-of-warranty failure. This is due to the fact that the turbo tries to compensate for the air pressure through these breaks and overloads. It is important to check the cooler by vacuuming or pressure testing the entire turbo system and determine its burst or a leaking hose or connection and replace it if there is a problem! WE are one of the few who HAVE the necessary machines and equipment to check and test the entire Turbo system under Vacuum or Pressure!

  • Clogged catalyst or particulate filter. A clogged catalyst or particulate filter (FAP/DPF) leads to increased exhaust gas back pressure (back pressure), which wears out the axial bearing and leads to increased axial clearance and seizure of the fins in the housings (snails). A faulty FAP/DPF leads to too frequent and too long regenerations. FAP/DPF regeneration is a self-cleaning process in which accumulated soot is burned. This combustion (similar to smoldering in a chimney) occurs in close proximity to the turbo and overheats it, melting the hot fin and the variable geometry. Turbo-Expert recommends replacing the catalyst or FAP/DPF with a new one for cars with high mileage. A compromise (budget) solution is to remove them.

  • Overheating/melting of the variable geometry and hot (turbine) fin. With a damaged nozzle or nozzles on a diesel car, the exhaust gases become so hot that they melt the geometry and the hot fin. In gasoline cars, poor fuel mixtures, bad spark plugs and detonations also lead to melting. Turbo-Expert is not responsible for damage to the turbocharger caused by faulty fuel systems that cause overheating. We advise diesel car owners to drive with “regular” diesel fuel and to avoid their expensive variants. Recently, there has been a trend of melting and overheating in technically sound cars that are driven with the “expensive” oil. It seems that this leads to an increased combustion temperature and this expensive fuel ends up being really expensive for you. Also, be careful when using diesel fuel additives, because the same effect is achieved.
  • Remap / Chiptuning. The presence of remap / chiptuning that is incorrect, unprofessional and overloads the turbocharger and other components automatically excludes the warranty because with incorrect adjustment of the engine computer, the turbocharger goes beyond the correct and safe operating range set by the manufacturer. Please keep in mind that we are a company with many years of experience in the field of tuning, development and production of components for turbochargers, etc. and if the turbocharger is damaged by poor-quality tuning, we will certainly understand it because we have the most modern and also laboratory testing machines (even if you have already temporarily removed the unprofessional remap / chituning).

  • Hybrid turbochargers. All hybrid turbochargers are without warranty, they are used to drastically increase power, as they are operated at maximum load even beyond the safe (for the purpose of maximum power increase) and can easily break if improperly adjusted and operated. Turbo-Expert is not responsible in such cases.

5. WHAT IS WARRANTY SUPPORT?

In case of a claim, we undertake the full repair of the turbocharger or refund the full amount paid by the customer. In case of a problem with our turbochargers or our components, we will do everything possible to fix it by replacing everything in it at our expense. In case of another claim, without being able to identify a problem in your car, either the car will have to be brought to us to fix the problem, or we will refund your money. Sometimes there are cases in which a hidden problem causes the constant malfunctioning and breakage of the turbochargers and we cannot detect it only through the turbocharger. In such cases, we refund the amount paid back, thus you are not harmed in any way. This way we break the vicious circle in which a turbocharger is returned several times for a claim and no one knows what leads to the malfunction.

All announced prices for recycled turbochargers are valid only upon return of the old turbocharger (whether defective or not, but the same model)

We at Turbo-Expert want our customers to know that we are extremely busy, we try to take time for each of our customers, thus guaranteeing attention and quality. Lately, we have been increasingly unable to respond to all questions and inquiries on time, please keep in mind that each of your inquiries is of a technical nature, and to respond professionally and adequately, someone from our professional team needs to respond, and this takes time, but every question will be answered. Due to our high workload, our team of technicians work purposefully and sometimes cannot answer or stay on the phone for a long time, so we apologize in advance to everyone who had difficulty contacting us or was delayed in the process of correspondence. We would like to thank you for your understanding and trust, which must be deserved and justified by quality work. Work that is sometimes so much that we have to be unable to respond immediately.
