We at Turbo-Expert do not limit ourselves in our development and capabilities and for this reason we are equipped with NOT ONE BUT TWO STANDS for testing, tuning, developing turbochargers and programming electronic actuators and they are G3-min-Flow (Power) and Synthesis Flow Bench 2000S recognized as one and perhaps the best in the world which guarantees double checking and reducing errors and inaccuracies to zero!
After the repair and assembly of a turbocharger, nothing ends with its balancing and tuning, modern turbochargers are equipped and developed with complex mechanisms for controlling and monitoring their proper operation. According to global turbocharger manufacturers such as Garrett, Holset, IHI, KKK Borg Warner, etc. is that after repairing a variable geometry turbocharger (VNT) it is impossible to achieve the quality of a factory-tuned turbocharger, because it is impossible to adjust and check the variable geometry without special equipment - maybe it is so BUT NOT FOR US, because this is exactly where our Tuning and Test Stands come in!
We can say with the GREATEST pride that we have the most modern stands in the world and that the G3-min-Flow (Power) flowbench - is recognized as the best, most accurate and most reliable stand in the WORLD, which makes it the Rolls Royce of stands, namely because it was developed by the engineers of the WORLD LEADER in the production of turbochargers GARRETT and is the only one on the market that has a large database of turbochargers, and is growing and updating every day as everything is connected Online in real time and even if something is missing, it is immediately procured and available, which gives us the opportunity to be one step ahead because when other stands cannot handle the job, WE CAN!
With the availability of the G3-min-Flow (Power) and Synthesis Flow Bench 2000S, these two benches WE can adjust the variable geometry and (pneumatic or electronic actuator, as well as the limiting bolt, as well as measure the actuator stroke or test it for vacuum leaks, and many other tests) thus taking into account the pressure that makes the compressor (cold) part of the turbocharger measured at the inlet and outlet pressure, the flow rate of the gases passing through the turbocharger as liters of air, temperature and pressure of the compressed air and many other indicators, this guarantees a 100% successful completion of the adjustment which guarantees that the turbocharger will not lag behind or exceed the pressure it must deliver and which the car's computer requires. This ensures that the required amount of pressure and flow will be delivered by the turbocharger and your car will not have problems with fuel consumption, acceleration, smoke, etc.
Generally and precisely speaking, our machines simulate the operation of the turbocharger in real conditions, thus measuring and analyzing all important parameters: load, unloading, air flow and pressure, the end positions of the electronic actuator and whether they match the geometry stroke and many, many other parameters.
Test, adjust and program the actuator and the turbo limit bolt.
Each turbocharger is equipped with a wastegate and pressure control mechanism (some turbochargers for large truck and tractor engines are an exception here, but the latest generations are already equipped with variable geometry due to the efficiency of this mechanism). The wastegate mechanism is controlled by the so-called actuator (wastegate valve). In earlier models of turbochargers it is pneumatic and works with vacuum or pressure, while in more modern ones it is electronic and is an electric motor. The actuator determines when, how much and at what speed the variable geometry or wastegate is opened or closed (the names and terms used are described in the "turbochargers" section).
An exceptional and mandatory condition for the proper operation of a turbocharger is a properly functioning actuator. Pneumatic actuators often rot and must be replaced due to the fact that they are already worn out and cannot reach their full stroke, electronic actuators are increasingly defective due to constant and continuous operation, but on the other hand they are extremely faster and more precise. When replacing, precise adjustment is necessary, because incorrect adjustment of the actuator leads to premature overload and breakage of the turbocharger or actuator (electronic one) or to incorrect operation, in which the car has no power, smokes, etc. Many of the service stations and people who have recycled turbochargers in Bulgaria and beyond are familiar with the problem of lack of power, smoke, unnecessary sounds, etc., after replacing the turbo, which is almost always due to a poorly adjusted actuator and limiting bolt (there are cases in which there are cracked hoses and intercoolers, non-working valves, etc., but this is rare). For proper adjustment, checking and programming of each actuator, special equipment is needed, and this is where WE intervene because we can offer you the best!
Our G3-min-Flow (Power) and Synthesis Flow Bench 2000S test benches have the entire database containing all test parameters, working position, tolerances, adjustment and operation allowing us to adjust almost all turbochargers, the benches are constantly developing, updating and the database is constantly growing. With the equipment and benches we have, we guarantee full one hundred percent adjustment according to the manufacturer's requirements. The possibility of measurement error is minimized because the adjustment is carried out based on the set parameters and because, unlike other services, we have more than one machine/bench and can compare and check everything twice, which guarantees ultimate success.
Testing, tuning and adapting turbochargers that will be used for racing purposes and have been converted/modified from electronic to pneumatic/vacuum actuator.
Anyone who is professionally involved in car tuning has encountered and faced the difficult task of adapting a hybrid or converted turbo to the car. It is quite common to use larger turbochargers with an electronic actuator for tuning in order to increase the power of smaller engines. However, in order for them to work properly and adequately, it is necessary to remove the conversion from electronic actuator to vacuum, and here lies the greatest subtlety and difficulty in how to make and adjust the new converted vacuum actuator and the limiting bolt. If the variable geometry is not set correctly and closes too much, it leads to very high exhaust gas back pressure and the turbocharger literally becomes a plug for the engine (the geometry lets too little gas through), drastically reducing efficiency, power and the risk of breakage. Conversely, if the geometry is too open, reaching the desired pressure is impossible or too late and the turbo spins too slowly with a huge turbo hole and the sports car barely moves and the so-called "turbolag" occurs. This is where we intervene and can offer a correct setting of the variable geometry and a conversion from an electronic to a vacuum actuator, without disturbing the flow rate and pressure of the turbine part, that is, without increasing the back pressure (back pressure-a) and at the same time extracting the safe maximum from the compressor part, and this is ONLY possible through specialists or the right equipment and knowledge that we have!
We at Turbo-Expert claim that our hybrid / tuning turbochargers are better because:
We leave nothing to chance and through large, or rather huge investments in machinery, equipment, equipment, training and development and professional staff Turbo-Expert sets new rules in the development and quality of all turbochargers, whether normal or hybrid, because for us all projects are of equal importance, namely YOU being satisfied that you have received the best for your money!
Only with us, each client receives all the graphs from the tests, the adjustment, the balance and all the tests from the turbocharger certifying the correct adjustment and proving the correctly passed tests and trials! WE do not compromise on anything, our goal is to justify the trust of our clients!
